Historic Rupert Square is the heart of Rupert. The downtown park originated at the site of the city's first water well in 1905 and is surrounded by historic buildings, restaurants, and shops. It hosts community events throughout the year, including the annual Fourth of July celebration.

Neptune Park features four covered pavilions with picnic tables available for reservation, a nine-hole disc golf course, tennis and basketball courts, a baseball field, horseshoe pits, and a playground. The Rupert Swimming Pool is adjacent to the park. Big Valley Ball Park is a four-plex softball facility with concessions, restrooms, and batting cages, designed for hosting tournaments. Lincoln Park is a quiet park near the center of town with picnic tables and playground equipment. Additional parks around the city offer walking and bike paths.

Shelter and space reservations for events are available at Rupert Square, Neptune Park, and Freemont Plaza; applications can be completed and submitted to City Hall.
