The Sanitation department provides curbside trash and garbage collection for the City of Rupert. Crews run Monday through Friday, with summer hours of 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM and regular hours of 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM.

Sanitation Rates
Current monthly sanitation rates:
- Residential — $22.95 flat rate; 96-gallon roll cart, 2 weekly pickups
- Reduced rate — $13.00 flat rate; 96-gallon roll cart, 1 weekly pickup
- County residential — $25.05 flat rate; 96-gallon roll cart, 2 weekly pickups
- Commercial — $23.82 flat rate; 96-gallon roll cart, 2 weekly pickups
Cart Rules & Prohibited Items
Please follow these collection guidelines:
- Place your cart at the point of pickup by 6:00 AM on your scheduled pickup days
- Do not overfill your cart — lids must close; maximum weight 336 lbs
- Remove your cart from the street on the same day of service
The following may not be placed in carts:
- Hot ashes, cinders, coals, or any other burning material
- Bricks, concrete, dirt, rocks, or metal materials
- Flammable liquids
- Hazardous materials
