East End Electric / East Side Barber Building

This lot first hosted Thadeus M. Ferrin's Brunswick Billiard Hall in 1907, providing entertainment for settlers. By 1917, a small false-front store occupied the lot, which became vacant by 1921. In the 1930s, Artcraft Printing occupied another small frame structure. A brick building replaced it in 1931, maintaining the print shop.

Beginning in the 1950s, the north half housed various cafes and lunch counters, later becoming the East End Mutual Electric Office by 1976.

The south half has functioned as a barber shop for over fifty years. Leonard Patterson and partners established the East Side Barber Shop here in 1956, with his son Gaylin continuing the family trade. The shop features an excellent in-shop collection of antique tools, equipment, and a barber chair that creates a historically authentic atmosphere, welcoming visitors while operating.
